Mark asks…

what do i need to look for before investing in a company ?

financi4 answers:

Look at the stock price on a chart like on finance.yahoo.com. If the information you are finding show the company is doing well, but the price is dropping, then you’re missing something.

James asks…

How do I study a company’s figures before investing in its shares?

Everyone advises us to know the company‘s present business, its business prospects, its performance, etc. What exactly do I look for which will help me gauge whether a company is worth putting my money in?
Is there a website which tells us what to look for?

financi4 answers:

That’s definitely a good question, I remember what I went through when I began investing. You should check out Investopedia, a website dedicated to investor education. Aside from explaining all of the different valuation metrics, it also provides very useful tutorials on a variety of topics. To find the valuations and other information one needs to make investment decisions, Yahoo! Finance is a great resource. Also, some information will be available on the company’s website, which can typically be found on the Investors Relations page, such as the Annual Report, or various presentations that the company generates for investors. I have included the links to Investopedia and Yahoo! Finance below, I hope these are of value to you.

Best of luck!
