But so cheap…

and skeptical and can’t take risks.

Justin answers:

Hahaha…..I’m half indian and I find this so funny.

To be honest, this skeptical behavior just comes from past experiences. It is known that India has a level of corruption from street vendors to the krooked politicans that will pull scams to get people to buy and pay for anything. So, indians or south asians are doubtful of what their purchases because they dont want to be suckers. This bargaining game is a norm in india and they think it works here too in the U.S but we have set retail value to products, and the only bargaining power is coupons. I know many south asian businesses in US I have called, and I have almost been scammed by them, the indian word for it “duo number ka kaam”, meaning “two timing”. You would think they would leave this scamming/skeptical behavior at home. Thank God the U.S has policies, Better Business Bureau, and the class action lawsuits from such corruption. But you know even then, there is a sucker born everyday. Remember the madoff ponzi scheme, merrill lynch, AIG, beare starnes, house market crash all happened in the U.S. To answer your question, most dont want to spend money, are skeptic is because scams are prevelant back home. I know an uncle of mine tried this get rich quick scheme, turned his money to the indian stock broker, and the guy ran off with his money. It still happens and nobody (especially indians) do not like taken advantage of.

If youre interested in other indian stereotypes, you should go on this website called what brown people like, its hilarious. Also, the canadian-indian comedian, Russell Peters, just cracks me up with indian cliches. Its all good fun, im proud to be half indian and I dont like being scammed.

Daniel asks…

How many seniors are going to be voting republican after hearing GOP candidates call SS a “ponzi scheme”?

Justin answers:

If they keep on this theme, they will go down faster then the titanic.Their selling point on this item will be before it’s all over will be,” seniors, you don’t have to worry about getting that check” “You will be grandfathered” “We just need to fix the system so it will be there for the younger generation”. Their idea of a fix is the stock market or 401k .We saw how that would have worked out if Bush had pushed it through.
