First insert the disk, then create a new play list with the songs that you purchased. Then open the play list that you created go to file burn play list to disk. That should work.

Paul asks…

Will I keep the songs I purchased from iTunes on one account on my ipod if I sync songs from another account?

Basically, I found an old iPod nano that has near 8 gigs free and about 50 songs I remember purchasing through iTunes and am thinking about freeing up space on my iPhone by transferring all my songs from it to the iPod.

The ones on my nano I purchased on a different account and am wondering if they will go away when I sync the songs from my current account to it.

Justin answers:

They will not go away but you will not be able to play them until you authorize your new account to play them. Go to itunes then hit store on the top bar on your computer and then hit “authorize this computer”
then enter in your old login info and you should be able to play those songs and do what you want with them:)

Charles asks…

What are the limits on songs bought from ITUNES?

I bought a couple of songs from ITunes and I can’t seem to get them to play on my creative MP3 Player – will they only run on apple products? Also, what does the little padlock sign on the file icon mean?

Justin answers:

Songs purchased from iTunes come in a protected format that will only play on iTunes/iPods and can only be installed on five devices (computers, iPods, and soon iPhones as well).

However, they do allow you to make legal MP3 copies of all your music without having to waste CD-Rs. Pull down the Edit menu, select Preferences, click the Advanced tab, then the Importing tab, and change the “Import Using” selection to MP3 (remember what the setting was because you’ll want to go back through and reset it after finishing this process). Now, go to your Music Library (or any playlist), highlight whatever songs you want to copy to MP3 format, pull down the Advanced menu, and click “Convert Selection to MP3” (this selection will change to reflect whatever format you’ve designated as the default Importing format in the previous step). It’s that easy.

And the little padlock probably means that it’s a DRM-protected file. I can’t say for certain, because I have never purchased any music from the iTunes store, but it seems logical.

James asks…

What is this iTunes and from where do I download it ?

Hi Folks,

I am pretty new to this world of computers and internet. So please pardon me for my little knowledge about the same. I recently came across this software called iTunes. What is it ? And what does it do ? From where can I download it ? Any good explanation about the same would be appreciated ! I want to know about it features entirely. Thank You.

Justin answers:

Well iTunes is a very good software when it comes to listening to music. All the songs you play with iTunes get automatically saved in the platlist which comes in a broad spread-sheet format and I am sure you will love it. Here some more details on it :

iTunes is a digital media player application, introduced by Apple Inc. On January 9, 2001, at the Macworld Expo in San Francisco. The latest version, iTunes 8, was announced at Apple’s September 2008 keynote Let’s Rock. The application is used for playing and organizing digital music and video files. The program is also an interface to manage the contents on Apple’s popular iPod digital media players as well as the iPhone. Additionally, iTunes can connect to the iTunes Store via the Internet to purchase and download music, music videos, television shows, iPod games, audiobooks, various podcasts, feature length films and Movie Rentals (available only in the USA, UK,Canada, Australia and New Zealand), and Ringtones (available only in the USA). Since July 11, 2008, there has also been the option to download apps for the iPhone and iPod Touch as long as they are running the 2.0 firmware released on the same date.

ITunes is available as a free download for Mac OS X, Windows Vista, and Windows.

George asks…

How do I download an App for iPhone with an iTunes gift card?

I’m trying to download an app (that’s 99 cents) and it asks for a credit card and billing address. I have more than enough of the iTunes gift card money, so why is it asking for a credit card and such? Shouldn’t it ask to use the gift card first?
I know i’m logging into the right account, so I don’t know what’s going on.

Justin answers:

ITunes is a media player and media library application developed by Apple Inc. It is used for play, download, save, and organize digital audio and video on personal computers running the OS X operating system and the iOS-based iPod, iPhone, and iPad devices.
Free iTunes Gift Cards are the perfect way to give the gift of entertainment. You can buy them in different styles and denominations from Apple and from thousands of other retailers. And no matter which card you give, recipients can redeem it for whatever they want to buy — songs, movies, TV shows, apps, games, books, and more.
Editions of iTunes are also released for Microsoft Windows. It can connect to the iTunes Store to let users purchase and download music, music videos, television shows,iPod games, audiobooks, podcasts, movies and movie rentals in select countries, and ringtones, available on the iPhone and iPod Touch (fourth generation onward.) It is also used to download application software from the App Store for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. ITunes has been criticized for not being able to transfer music from one portable device to another.

Joseph asks…

Can you transfer your old Itunes account to another computer?

My Itunes used to be on my mom’s computer. Then her computer broke and wiped everything out. I was wondering if I would be able to take my account with all my songs and apps and transfer them to my laptop.

Justin answers:

The short answer: yes.

Everything purchased on the iTunes store is saved in your account on a server hosted and run by Apple. If you sign into your account on another computer, then check for available downloads, everything you purchased can be downloaded again. You mentioned apps, so I would assume you are referring to iPod/iPhone apps. If you plug your device into the computer, right click on it in the sidebar, and select “transfer purchases”, you will produce the same result. In the second option, you must be signed into your iTunes account, and have your computer authorized to play your purchased iTunes content.

John asks…

How can I fix this iTunes purchase backup problem?

I just transferred my itunes backup discs into my new laptop, and one TV episode I have has lost the audio. I can watch it fine, no glitches, but the audio is completely gone! I don’t think its a problem with my disc, the other episodes came out fine. Is there anything I can do? It worked fine on the laptop where I backed up these purchases.

Justin answers:

You can try this software to backup the stuffs in your iPod/iPhone/iTouch. Recover lost or missing music, backup and restore all of your iPod/iPhone/iTouch content, including your favorite songs, videos, photo files and Play Lists, and that’s not all. You can try this software to backup songs, videos, photos in iPod to PC, copy iPod songs, videos, photos to new ipod, computer or notebook.
