E-mail the song. Well, that won’t work if you don’t have wi-fi. =/

How do you transfer songs from iPhone to iTunes?

I just got an iphone for christmas and my dad used the cloud to put purchased songs onto my iphone. I picked all the songs i want then i decided i only want a few songs from different albums, so i don’t use up all my memory. Anyways i want to put songs from my iphone back onto itunes. I know there is a way to do it i just forgot how! thanks a bunch!!!!!!!

Justin answers:

Oh but you can. Apple has attempted to keep people from sharing data like music and apps because they lose money when people share. That being said, once it is on the device, it’s difficult to get it off and if you try to do it without the correct software, sometimes the data will not work, other times like with music, it will change the names to everything in your library. Instead of the names of songs and artists it will be labeled XZTY, FGYT, and similar things. This is one kind of software but there are more:

If you google Transfer music from iPhone to iTunes, you can find other similar software that will allow you to do this. But you can’t do it without the software, it’s a must have.

And this site talks specifically about transferring music with the same software:

How do I transfer non-purchased songs from my ipod onto my computer?

I just got a new computer and i need to put my songs from my ipod onto my computer. Some of the songs are from limewire and iTunes does not allow non-purchased songs to be synchronized into the library. Also, I have no access to the old computer.

Justin answers:

If you want to copy music and video from iPod back to computer, I think this iPod transfer would help you, my friends recommend it to me, it’s easy to use and works pretty well. You can also use it as an iTunes alternative to upload music and video to your iPod, it’s useful when your iTunes cant detect your iPod.
